Welcome back to my covid devotional page where I vent about things and then try to tie that venting to scripture! Hope you’ve enjoyed it. I’ve been convicted a bit of how selfish this blogging thing is lately. With time I think it’s begun a more honest look at my devotional life which is often me driven. By putting these things out there I can see that much more clearly and make it more about others. Speaking of which pray for Laura and her daughters today. Laura goes in for radiation and chemo therapy. If you have a prayer request you’d like I and the many others who read this to pray for as well I’d love to hear it.

Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. What do we do need? To be reminded that we’re small. Mountains help us to do that. We get caught up too often in our own stuff. Thinking life is a story about me. Read the last few days of my blog- it’s all about me. When you live alone and the grind we’re in it’s easy to think that. But the world is so much bigger. Our God is so much bigger than our grind.
The psalmist then talks about living in God’s tent- perhaps we could even say on God’s holy mountain. That is true in heaven but it’s true now. We are living under his tent already.
Get outside and sit a spell. Watch a sunrise or a sunset, look at the stars. Know that we’re small yet God cares for us all from the biggest person to the sparrow small God loves it all. He loves us best and is literally dieing to be with you. This life though quarantined is still beautiful. God has provided the best in the last few months. Freedom from division and bickering. Calm in Strife. Our God is there and He’s showing His care.
